Song on the wind! Hail to Northshield!
Arise from your seats!
And hear the song that’s all around!
Arise from your seats and hear!
The animals speak!
They sing the praises of our Northshield!
Rise from your seats and hear!
Song on the wind! Hail to Northshield!
At dawn you will hear
The crickets who stayed up all night
Telling tales of torchlight tourneys.
The crickets sing out,
“The valor of these Northmen is like
Nothing we’ve seen before!”
Song on the wind! Hail to Northshield!
The deer as they run
Have seen the hills and plains of Northshield.
They testify to its beauty.
Their shout fills the air,
“No sight fills my heart like the dawning
Of Northshield’s brightest star!”
Song on the wind! Hail to Northshield!
The bear shows his strength
Trying to be just like fighters.
He sees upon battlefields.
Listen to his cry,
” Oh soldiers in their splendid armor!
To Northshield’s strength I bow!”
Song on the wind! Hail to Northshield!
The Robin returns
In spring flying from winter home
And sees garb of such beauty,
His stunned voice it squeaks,
” So beautifully clothed are they
My heart beats enviously!”
Song on the wind! Hail to Northshield!
The eagle that flies
Above the lands that we call home
Gazes upon our people!
He squeals with delight
” My noble cousin’s on your flags!
Raise up your griffin banners!”
Song on the wind! Hail to Northshield!
Song on the wind!
Song on the wind!
Song on the wind . . .
