Listen
Owen Alun levelled a challenge to write songs of the Midrealm. On the way home from KW Cooks and Bards, I pulled over and wrote this.

Listen Dragons! Come sing with me
Take pride in children who run and fly free.
Pride in Children who leave of their choice
The challenge of Owen…lift up your voice.
From winter’s long home in tree Girt Sea
High halls of Sternfeld where legends are seen.
Clear morn in Cleftlands by deep inland sea,
Marches of Middle find Edmund’s fair queen.
Now in our Northland will Brannos be king.
The name of Rebekah inspires great things
Sweet Arabella blessing with smiles
Arm of Ragnvaldr to win through the miles.
Listen Dragons! Come sing with me
Take pride in children who run and fly free.
Pride as the falcon and gryphon fly,
Wolf in the woodland running near by.
Southern frontier where Dragons take mark,
Watching our borders with friends from afar.
Out east armies gather and archers let fly
Come Dragons, your voices, lift to the sky.
Find legends, find heroes, teach them while young.
Show in words what deeds can be done.
Show in word fame, children will learn
Show them dragon fire still burns.
Listen Dragons! Come sing with me
Take pride in children who run and fly free.
Pride in Children who leave of their choice
The challenge of Owen…lift up your voice
White Waters roll and Fenix is bright
Kindle the magic of forgotten nights
Kindle magic where Gryphons a’flame
Lead us to battle. Sing out their fame.
Listen Dragons! Come sing with me
Take pride in children who run and fly free.
Wolf in the woodlands running nearby
Take pride as Gryphons and Falcons fly.
Parents can learn from children it seems.
They taught us to write and sing of our dreams.
So lift your voices, rise up, never yield
In fair feasting hall, by fire, on field.
Listen you Dragons! Come sing with me
Take pride in children who run and fly free.
Pride in Children who leave of their choice
The challenge of Owen and lift up your voice.
